Calls for enrollment: (approx, based on previous years; we don't have the new deadlines yet)
1st call (pre-opening):        March 22- April 14, 2021 (Enrollment and payment: end of July )
2nd call (official opening): June-July 2021                   (Enrollment and payment: end of July )
Last call:                              September 2021                (Enrollment and payment: end of September)

Notice:
1) since for the 1st and 2nd calls the enrollment is in July, applicants in the 1st call are pre-admitted upon advancing 150 euros; this amount is discounted from the total in case they complete they enrollment in July.
2) September offer refers to the free places still left after July enrollment (which is the main one), so that the general recommendation is "the sooner, the better".

Fees:

• case A): EU students, students residing in Spain, students coming under special agreements (Fundación Carolina, Nanjing Tech):37.4 eur (cost/ECTS) x 90 ECTS=3366 eur + 57.07 (fixed costs, insurance) = 3423.07 eur.

• case B): Non-EU, non-resident students: 74.8 eur (cost/ECTS) x 90 ECTS=6732 eur + 157.07 (fixed costs, insurance) = 6889.07 eur.

Prospective students first apply for access (Non-EU students only) and admission: the applicants who don't already have a UZ identification number (NIA) should ask for one (see https://academico.unizar.es/en/preinscripcion-master/preinscripcion-master ); once they are granted admission, they are expected to pay the fee and enroll.
Students' applications undergo a two-step examination by the Board o Post-graduate Studies (Comisión de Estudios de Posgrado):

1) first, the Board checks if the applicant fulfils the conditions to enter the Master Programme (i.e, she/he has a proper bachelor degree, fulfils language requirements, etc) or if they are reasonably expected to do so at the moment of enrollment. This step is usually smooth for students with a bachelor degree obtained in Spain or EU countries, but requires a thorough analysis for non-EU students (type B in the previous slide), unless they have already obtained
a certification of equivalence from the spanish ministry, since the Board has to assess if their degree entitles them to access a postgraduate program.

2) In the "admission" step, the applicants that have been granted access are ranked and selected according to their academic score (70%), and the affinity of their previous studies (degree studies: 25%; extracurricular studies 5%) with the subjects of the master.

(Please notice that all documents that are not in Spanish/English/French MUST be translated to Spanish by a LEGALLY CERTIFIED translator (a list is available at consulates/embassies):

1. A printed copy of the admission application (only if admission is not done online).
2. Photocopy of ID card or Passport.
3. Both the original and a photocopy of your certification of the university qualification, or authentic electronic copy (only for students from outside UZ) (see also point 5 below).
4. Both the original and a photocopy of your certification, or authentic electronic copy of the official academic certificate of your Bachelor Degree (first level of university studies, entitling you to enter a master program).(Only for students from outside UZ; see also point 5 below). Notice: Students who are still in the process of completing their undergraduate studies, may ask for conditional admission, presenting a certificate of their academic curriculum (including the average mark obtained so far), whereby it appears clearly that they are presently enrolled to the necessary number of ECTS credits to obtain the bachelor degree in the next months.
5. Students holding an European Diploma Supplement (EDS) obtained from a EU university must include the original and a copy of this document for verification (or an authentic electronic copy), instead of the documents at point 3) and 4) above.
6. Students accessing with a foreign title that has already been recognized as equivalent to a spanish one by the national authority, must present the certificate of recognition ("homologación").
7. An updated curriculum vitae.
8. Certificate of knowledge of English at the B2 level (IELTS 6.5) or higher.
9. Students whose previous studies are scored with a different system from the Spanish one must provide the "Statement of Equivalence of the average mark for university courses undertaken in international centres". This requires completing the form available at the Ministry of Education web page: https://www.educacionyfp.gob.es/servicios-al-ciudadano/catalogo/gestion-titulos/estudios-universitarios/titulos-extranjeros/equivalencia-notas-medias.html

Non-EU students whose Bachelor Degree has not been certified by the spanish ministry as equivalent to a spanish degree, shall also present:

1. A full "Diplomatic Legalisation" for documents at points 3) and 4) of the previous slides: such document must be legalised by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (or equivalent) in the country of origin, as well as by the Spanish Consulate in that country and by the Spanish Ministry of International Affairs (exception: countries participating in "Andres Bello"Agreement)
2. Programmes and content of the university courses that the applicant has completed.
3. Certificate from the university of origin (or the competent authority in the Country) stating that these studies are of an educational level that is equivalent to the official Spanish university bachelor degree, and entitles access to official postgraduate courses in that country.
4. Proof of payment of the fee for the dossier-evaluation process (50€ per Faculty + 50€ per master programme; i.e. if you apply to two masters in the Faculty of Science, you'll pay 150€). This fee will not be reimbursed, and is the only fee that is paid before actual enrollment. The payment will be made by national/international transfer (as applicable) to the bank account of the School of Science (IBAN: ES1120850168510300011216 , SWIFT/BIC code CAZRES2Z).
5. In the admission phase, a copy of the favourable resolution to the application for accessing the Master Programme, after obtaining it from the Board of Postgraduate Studies.
